Cool Music Technology - Reactable
A bunch of computer scientists and some music lovers have got together to create what is one of the coolest music instruments using touch screen technology. Its called Reactable.
By using a computer program that is similar in theory to what Microsoft are working on for their surface technology, these guys use objects placed upon the surface to simulate synthesized noises and beats, creating cool and interesting electronic beats.
Whilst it might not be the best electronic music, it would definitely be really cool if you could have a go at the next music festival. This cool technology could also be used for other uses, such as DJs and home studios. Imagine going a mates home studios and just placing objects around the room creating experiemental sounds and creating something unlike anything else all purely done by technology.
